I’m sorry you had to experience the wrath of SoCal drivers.
April 10, 2015-February 19, 2016
It seems that this car is nothing but bad luck. Last year, the windshield cracked, and now it’s been swiped. What next???

It doesn’t look that bad, honestly. Seems to be mostly visual damage. Sure, it will need to be replaced sooner or later if you plan on reselling the car, but it should function perfectly fine. A wheel is a wheel, a tire is a tire, and a bumper is a bumper.

It’s much worse in person.

Ok, but it doesn’t seems to have bent the wheels or messed up brakes or suspension or anything, so aside from looks, it's fine, right?

His car looks fairly new and in excellent condition. Swipes and cosmetic damages are a big deal. Maybe not to your 80s junker you picked up for $500 bucks, but to most other cars, this is a big deal.

True, but the amount of damage shown does not seem to be enough to “kill” the bumper and wheel. It will still function perfectly normally. It is probably best to get fixed I agree, but it's not 100% totally necessary.

On the bright side insurance will pay out, and you can pocket the cash.
